Tuesday, April 28, 2009 – Show Dog Nashville singer Mac McAnally will donate all his artist royalties from his debut single You First, released on April 27, to the Wounded Warriors Project, which helps wounded soldiers.
The single, which is available through all digital music retailers, is prelude to a full album expected to be completed in June as McAnally works recording into his touring schedule. A longtime member of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer band, McAnally has been on the road much of this year.
McAnally has enjoyed success as a songwriter. He wrote the recent number one hit Down The Road for Kenny Chesney and sang it with him.
Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors. WWP serves to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other and to provide direct programs and services to meet their needs.
