I was born and raised in High Point, NC.   I have lived here all my life.  I'm a member of First Presbyterian Church, where I am currently a deacon.  I graduated from T. W. Andrews High School and attended UNCC and Davidson Community College.  I was married  to Chuck Simpson for 18 years, until his death in 2001.  I  am the mother of two wonderful young men.  I am self-employed, owning car washes with my wonderful family.  

 

I've been a member of  Parrot Heads of the Triad since November of 2007, but only became activite in February 2008.   Just couldn't get there any sooner.    I discovered the club while attending Brew Fest that year (07).  It was exciting to know there was a club for people like me....those who love that happy, go lucky feeling you get while listening to steel drums or great Buffett song!   It always lifts my spirits and helps put me in better state of mind!  

 

I have made some wonderful, new friends over the past 2 years.  I feel our club does some very good work in our community.  I would like to see that continue.  I'd like to see the club grow so we could do more great things.  I feel there should be a good balance between our community work and our social activities.   I would like to find ways to get more members involved in both.  I don't have a set agenda, I'm willing to work with the new board  to make this best Parrot Head Club we can be!
